You will take the direction of Bansko, famous mountain town known for winter sports and hiking. You’ll make a stop for lunch on one of the most beautiful monastery in the World. The Rila monastery.

Plovdiv

After breakfast, you will take the direction of Plovdiv where you will take the lunch, then you will visit the city.

The history of Plovdiv spans more than eight millennia. The numerous nations that lived here have left their traces on the 12m thick cultural layers of the city. The city has more than 200 archaeological sites, 30 of which are of national importance. The Ancient theatre is probably the best-known monument from antiquity in Bulgaria.
There are a number of 19th-century churches, the Saint Constantine and Saint Helena, the Saint Marina, the Saint Nedelya, the Saint Petka and the Holy Mother of God Churches.
There are also Roman Catholic cathedrals, modern Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, and other Protestant churches, as well as older style Apostolic churches. Two mosques remain in Plovdiv from the time of the Ottoman rule. The Djumaya Mosque is considered the oldest European mosque outside Moorish Spain.

Veliko Tarnovo

8.30 am Start to Veliko Tarnovo.

You will stop to visit the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak (UNESCO site). After lunch, you will continue to Veliko to visit the Church of Staro Stefanovo, the Tsarevets Fortress, the Kaloyanova Fortress, the Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration of God. Over-night stay in Veliko Tarnovo *** hotel

Ruse

In the morning you will visit the Nicopolis ad Istrum and the Cherven Fortress. The afternoon will be devoted to visit the city of Ruse on the Danube. Ruse is located in the northeastern part of the country, on the right bank of the Danube, opposite the Romanian city of Giurgiu, approximately 75 km (47 mi) south of Bucharest, Romania’s capital.

Ruse is known for its 19th- and 20th-century Neo-Baroque and Neo-Rococo architecture, which attracts many tourists. It is often called the Little Vienna. Over-night stay in Ruse.

Nikopol

On the road you will stop at the famous Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo and the Red Church in Tsarevets. After lunch, you will discover Nikopol, the Shishman fortress, the Church of Saints Peter and Paul and the Roman fountain.

Glozhene

On road for Glozhene, you will stop at Tryavna to see the Museum of the Wood-Carving and Ethnographical Arts. Then, after visiting the Troyan monastery, you will have a lunch. After lunch, your driver will take you up to Glozhene, where you will have the afternoon to visit the monastery. The monastery church was erected after the creation of the monastery in the 14th century, but was destroyed by another earthquake in 1913 along with its frescoes. The modern church was constructed in 1951 on the grounds of the old one.

For groups of 10 people or less, you will spend the night at the monastery. The groups most important will spend the night in Teteven.

Koprivshtitsa

After breakfast, you will take the direction of Koprivshtitsa and you will have more than 2 hours to make a first visit to this beautiful village.bulgaria-tour-kopriv-012

Koprivshtitsa is one of the most characteristic Bulgarian towns, still preserving the atmosphere of the Bulgarian National Revival period of the 19th century. The town is huddled in the mountain-folds, 111 km east of Sofia. The town boasts a large number of architectural monuments from the period, 383 in all, most of which have been restored to their original appearance. Collections of ethnographical treasures, old weapons, National Revival works of art, fine fretwork, household weaves and embroidery, national costumes and typical Bulgarian jewelry have also been preserved. It was here that the first shot of the April Uprising against the Ottoman domination was fired in 1876.
